Holster Options
Last Updated: 05/14/2016
Every Garrett holster goes into production when an order is received. Each holster is custom made for a particular firearm; we do not have 'one size fits several' models. During the ordering process, several 'options' are required to produce a holster correctly and to a customer's specifications:

Holster Color: The holster color refers to the outside (Kydex) holster shell. Black, Coyote Brown and Olive are standard colors and there is no upcharge. The remaining colors are custom and incur an upcharge of $15. An additional 3-5 days of processing may be added to production time for custom colors.

Leather: This is the inside leather of the holster. Natural is standard with an additional $7 cost for selecting Black. We use Hermann Oak and Wickett & Craig Vegetable Tanned Leather made at either of these two US Tanneries. The Black leather is drum-dyed; a much better process than surface dying as the color will never come off.

Carry Side: Are you a right hand shooter or a left? Also referred to as "strong side" for carrying.

Firearm Model: This is a text field and we ask you to fill in your firearm Make and Model; i.e., Glock 17, Dan Wesson 1911, STI 2011. Due to the tremendous number of firearm models we currently have available and future offerings, it would be extremely difficult to have a drop down box here.

Barrel Length: We know that many firearm models have stock barrel lengths, but 1911, Revolvers, etc. have varying lengths and we need to produce the holster for your exact barrel length.

Rail: As in above for Barrel Lengths, some firearms are available with or without the accessory rail. This option is just for the rail itself with nothing attached (lights).

Custom Add-Ons: Laser Grips, Crimson Trace Laserguard (if we have the model listed under Firearms), after-market sights, threaded barrel (please note a threaded barrel will protrude past the end of the holster), RMR, extended controls, ambi-safety, etc. If you are unsure if we need to know, list it anyway.

Sweat Shield: The sweat shield covers to the end of the slide while maintaining a good firing grip (combat grip). The sweat shield assists in keeping clothing out of the holster when holstering your weapon as well as give you a good indexing point for reholstering. We recommend the Full Sweat Shield, but competitive shooters may wish to drop it down to a Half Sweat which will stop about 1" or so below the end of the slide. If you decide on No Sweat, there is a $10 upcharge and we increase the mouth of the holster to aid in your reholstering.

Belt Size: What is the width of your belt? For the best and most secure carry of holster and weapon, select the exact width size.

Thick Belt: We need to know if your belt is thicker than 1/4".

Mount Color: We have three mount/clip colors available: Black, Coyote Brown or Olive Drab.

Mounting Options: This option includes all the clip styles or mounts available for this particular holster model. All of the clips or mounts that list Heavy Duty are made from a thicker Kydex than the standard mounts. We recommend Heavy Duty for duty use or other very active needs (high level training, hiking in dense areas, etc.)

Locking Mount: This option will only appear for the Silent Thunder Champion and Silent Thunder OWB. The locking mount consists of "teeth" in both the mount and attachment washer to lock the cant and mount in place. We recommend this option for competitors and for duty use.

Check your options very carefully as errors in ordering will incur additional charges should we need to re-make the holster for you. See Terms & Conditions for returning items.
